@TheCommonS3Nse Not to mention that the WPA built the dams that allowed Washington State to eventually be a global leader in many areas of technology. We've got such cheap electricity that if a tech company isn't located here, they at least have a major facility here or a satellite branch here. We also have an Internet exchange point as well.

If you're having a hard time getting people to work because of the unemployment payments, perhaps you should have given the essential workers some money. I'm working for essentially minimum wage plus a couple bucks an hour in hazard pay from my employer. The stimulus enhancement to the unemployment payments alone is almost as much as my base pay. And, I have to actually go to work and take on that risk. The only thing about this that's better than unemployment is that I don't have to worry about being evicted or paying my bills. I've got income that will continue indefinitely.
