  1. Yes, but it shouldn't be surprising at this point. The establishment Dems have been more concerned with earning Republican votes than with delivering for their alleged base. You've got geniuses like Schumer that are against the checks, even though those checks will likely make a huge impact for the numerous people who are losing hours, but not eligible for unemployment. I tried to get unemployment, but when I had my hearing with the "arbitrator" it was clear that the arbitrator was effectively an employee of the former employer. Extensions should be in addition to the checks, not instead of them.

  2.  @mattcalza4199  that was years ago, thankfully, I'm in grad school online now and what few hours I've been working are online. The status quo here for people seeking unemployment is to need an attorney if the company appeals and extending benefits does nothing to help while the appeal is in progress.
