@William1866 Pretty much. Back in the last election when she refused to endorse Bernie during the primary, it should have been a wake up call that she wasn't a progressive. She's in it for herself and not above stooping to some pretty shady tactics to get what she wants. Personally, I'd love to see Yang on the ticket with Bernie as he at least seems to have some morals.

Precisely, there's a ton of things he could have been going after Joe for that would have been true and he wouldn't do it. Joe appears like he might be senile, he has a contentious history with the truth and his policies have been some of the worst for the Black community. He should have been underscoring that for the last few months. Not just that, but he should be doing a better job of explaining why it is that his proposals benefit even people with good health care.

That's my concern. I'm not sure what he can offer her to get her endorsement. He can't make her the VP pick after what she did, perhaps a cabinet position as there's no way she's going to be a senator after this poor showing.

They definitely should try and make a deal, perhaps some sort of cabinet post or a policy concession on something that would allow her to save what little face she has left. With Sanders, Biden, Warren and Gabbard being the only remaining candidates, he desperately needs her out of the race as soon as possible. Gabbard is still technically running, but she appears to be running in only the technical sense of the word. I think she has like 1 delegate at this point and doesn't seem to be spending any money.

@libertyann439 Precisely, one of the reasons that Bernie has credibility is that he generally bends over backwards to do what he promises to do. This year in particular, it's of vital essence to be able to point to his credibility when running against a President that basically never does what he says he's going to do and routinely lies. I don't get why the establishment chose to get behind Biden rather than mayor Pete. Mayor Pete at least has the benefit of not appearing senile, knowing what office he's running for and not putting his foot in his mouth every time somebody puts a microphone in his face.

I assume you mean about the Warren pick for VP. I don't see how that would work. It's not that she was campaigning against him or even that she chose not to endorse him in 2016 when it may have mattered, but that she's turned slimy. She's been lying about Bernie, slamming his supporters and done an about face on basically everything that I liked about her. I'd still vote for him on the ticket, but this would probably cost him my vote if he were up against somebody that was closer to him in terms of policy.
