What makes you think there's anything democratic about the Democratic primaries? If they cared about democracy, we'd likely have President Sanders dealing with the national response rather than President Trump. And, we're going to get another 4 years of President Trump, if the voters in the remaining states don't wake up and realize just how dangerously unqualified Biden is to lead the country. But, that probably won't happen because the media is still pretending like Bernie isn't the best choice in either party for addressing the issue.

To be fair, only the delusional think that the political establishment will allow candidates to follow through on pledges to work for the American people rather than donors. At least the trains are run by companies that donate money.

This raises the question as to why they're ignoring Gov. Inslee. He had the balls to start shutting things down early when the first evidence came in that covid 19 was spreading in Western Washington. And he's gone stricter and stricter as it become obvious that people were ignoring the recommendations. The epidemic here isn't solved, but our system hasn't collapsed the way that it is in New York and the number of people that the people testing positive are infecting is decreasing rapidly. It was roughly 2.7 people on average not that long ago and now it's down to roughly 1.4 due in large part to the shutdowns.

@makesmefeellikeatalltree8250 Yep, I read a bit about that this morning. It could still get bad, but if people keep with the program, we might hit the point where we can focus on tamping down on minor outbreaks when they pop up and testing people coming into the state.

Yes, here in WA where the governor actually cares about the health and safety of the public, we're seeing significant progress due in large part to the governor closing most businesses in the state until the epidemic has cleared enough that we can go back to working in public. For quite a while, we had the worst numbers, but now, they're bad, but it looks like we may avoid having our medical system collapse due to a crushing number of cases. With any luck, doctors won't be forced to make decisions about which patients live and which ones die based upon a lack of equipment, supplies or personnel.
