  2. Here, in WA, I'd rather be ignored than have the epidemic spiral out of control. Right now, we're dropping in the rankings of states, in part due to the rates of increase here decreasing and in part due to other states having issues contain the outbreak. The real tragedy of it is that we've been surprisingly successful, even without any help from the federal government.
