Not just that, but they have health care and no difficulty paying for it. We have billions and billions of dollars for the defense spending and yet this is something we can't afford.

Yes, and he probably has no concept of what the current system is like. He's been in public office nearly continuously since 1973. Back then, the system wasn't as broken, most people had appropriate medical treatment available to them through their employers and even if they didn't, the costs were usually somewhat affordable. He had health care as a result of being a senator and then VP for decades. He's only been without for 2 years and I'm sure between medicare and whatever retirement insurance he get, he's set.

Because if it saves money, they'd have to find a different argument against it.Being less expensive and providing better results is just difficult to spin.
