BS, we care because they're female, we don't care about the fact that boys and young men are falling further and further behind because feminism. Seriously, there hasn't been a single year since 1981 where more men have graduated college than women and at this point there are roughly twice as many women attending and graduating college as men. But, we don't do anything to help men, we do do things to help women in sports. If we don't want girls attacked, then perhaps we might consider making sure that the rights of boys and young men are actually being respected rather than going back to feminist talking points about how unempowered women are when that was never a reality. Women get all sorts of rights and privileges without having to have any of the responsibilities that men have to have in order to get them. We can't get any federal financial aid without signing up for the draft as an example.

@NathanTeaches Of course it's not a zero sum game, but the reality is that there's a ton of interest in solving these things when it benefits women, and much less interest when women benefit from inequities. Ideally, folks would care whenever unequal distributions exist due to the way the system is constructed.
