  1.  @dawnbailey4468  Yes, although some justices are more egregious about ignoring the constitution than others are. I'd be more than happen to lose the Democrat nominated justices to get rid of the GOP nominated ones. And, I"d suggest going a step further and require that all nominated justices come off a bipartisan list of acceptable nominees.

  4. Why would they? They were explicitly warned this sort of thing and worse could happen before they gave him immunity. This was an easily foreseeable consequence of doing so.

The last few rulings they've handed down pretty much guarantee that they'll go down like Presidents Pierce and Buchanan who were the final straws in terms of the US going to war against itself. I don't know that it could have been avoided, but they all but guaranteed the Civil War would happen.

  11. They won't. This is exactly what they expected would happen when they gave him, of all people, unchecked power. Expecting them to get braincells or morality is asking far more of them than is reasonable.

  12. That's part of it, part of it is that the Democrats are useless as an opposition party. Obama could have punished the GOP for refusing to give Garland hearings and an up or down vote. He could have elbowed RBG out, and now Kagan is likely to be the next to die because her health isn't so good. The result could well be a 7 to 2 vote in favor of GOP positions on most issues. Right now the Lincoln Project is literally putting up more of a fight than the Democratic leadership is.
