@jnagarya519 Yep, or, in the case of lawyers, do such a crappy job of it that they probably get disbarred. That being said, as a practical matter, I don't know that quitting is preferable to being fired, and being fired could potentially drag this out longer making it more likely that they'll lose momentum.

Potentially various bars can disbar them if this nonsense continues as the government position on a bunch of this stuff is completely without any sort of merit.

It is, but keep in mind that these are people with experience on the prosecution side that can potentially be involved in lawsuits against the government.

@icemuckbanggg Fair point. Although, I think that only applies to when you're fired for cause. Being fired for refusing to break the law presumably doesn't carry that penalty.

Blame the Democratic leadership for failing to do anything to bolster the guardrails on the Presidency or take steps to neutralize SCOTUS' ability to abuse its power. The literal only reason Trump won either time is that they insisted on forcing terrible nominees on us.

It won't happen if the Democratic leadership continues to pretend like nothing can be done without controlling more of the government.
