Normally, a lot of this would be considered to be moot as they already have their hands on this stuff and there's some possibility that the information isn't being secured properly and that other stuff has been deleted in a way that can't be undone. That being said, this is a very different situation from what you normally see and there's still some possibility that further harm could be headed off by appropriate court rulings. The big issue is that the SCOTUS at the top gets to have the final say and all of what is happening is a natural consequence of the rulings that they've been making where you can't just not question the motives of the President exercising his powers, but also things that might be legitimate exercises of those powers. It's pretty clear that the justices that voted for it were some combination of completely corrupt and completely incompetent.
