  1. This is generally good advice, but as somebody who mostly has transferable skills, it can be extremely hard to get the information to be accepted by online applications. Sometimes the company won't even allow an applicant to list a degree unless it's specifically one of the ones that is on the list. Makes it extremely hard for the application to even be seen by HR let alone the person who is making the final decisions.
