  1. @Cindy Giesbrecht, that's more or less what I'd recommend. Unless somebody lives in an area with no options for used bikes a membership is just too expensive. But, if you live where there are no used bike shops, there probably aren't any rental places either. Buy your own used one and make sure to perform routine maintenance. That way, you should have a bike that's convenient and safe. But, really, don't ride bikes in the street, it's ridiculously dangerous. Get a moped or scooter if you really want to save the money while being at least somewhat safe.

  2. Soda stream is made in Israel. Sure, you can buy it, but you're encouraging the wanton murder of Palestinians with the purchase. Most of them aren't even armed and many of them are just protesting
