This is why it's not recommended to go with kidnappers. There may have been a time where you could expect to be held for ransom for a period before being released, but most often these end badly.

@kirkmarshall2853 TBH, I do think that once a felon has completed the terms of their sentence successfully that they should get their rights back. Part of what can make it hard for felons to move on and better themselves is the ludicrous restrictions, for some type of felony there's nowhere they can legally live, but they also may not be allowed to move out of the area either.
