  1. There'll likely be some sort of a deal, I'd be very surprised if they are ultimately executed. Most likely there will either be some sort of a prisoner swap at some point, or they'll be used for propaganda videos and forced to confess before having their sentence commuted to jailtime or possibly expulsion from Russia after the conflict is resolved. That being said, I definitely would not want to be either of those men as none of the options are going to be good.

  2.  @johnnydjiurkopff  Absolutely. Foreign fighters are more trouble than they're worth. If they're caught, the Russians gain leverage for future prisoner exchanges and the ability to make them perform for propaganda videos. They can point at the foreign fighters as evidence that Ukraine can't take care of itself.
