It's not about being threatened, it's about this being an incredibly insulting commercial that implies that were were engaging in those behaviors to begin with. The racism of having all the bad guys be white and all the good guys be people of color just makes things worse. But, sure, this is about being threatened, not the fact that it's a sexist ad campaign full of unmotivated man-bashing. What's more, I don't see any ads targeting women for the anti-social behavior they're engaged in, for example filing for divorce and taking all the husband's best stuff without cause.

Great way to make your point, call the people that disagree with you morons while you completely ignore the problems with the ad spot. There's something ironic about somebody that's a bit of an intellectual dimbulb complaining about other people not being very bright. If you can't see what's horribly wrong with this ad, then perhaps you shouldn't post about it. I'm dumber for having tried to sit through it. The ad is sexist, why is this being targeted at men, we're not the ones raising boys these days. Why is it the white men that are the problem, but the men of color are somehow better? And why is this coming from a company trying to sell products to men? Couldn't they have found a less offensive way of making their point? To make matters worse, this was a spot directed by a woman whose previous work includes a body positivity film where she was somehow able to avoid disrespecting her target audience. For shame.

Who is teaching boys those behaviors? It surely isn't men as increasingly it's women raising boys. Perhaps rather than targeting men with this propaganda, we should be directing it at the women who don't know how to raise boys. But, beyond that, how much of this behavior is even normal? I'm personally upset by this commercial because it sends a clear message that men are horrible people, especially why people and only men of color can actually do anything about it. That's a shitty message. If you want to end the cycle, perhaps tell women to shut the hell up about masculinity and let men handle it. It turns out we do a far better job of raising boys than they do.
