Good for them, you clearly weren't much of a friend or family member then.

Call me old-fashioned, but I don't think voting for people that would continue to supply the necessary arms to engage in genocide is the basis for claiming the moral high-ground.

She also couldn't be bothered to oppose genocide by Israelis using weapons we gave them. If she couldn't bother to be against obvious evil, she didn't deserve to win. She also couldn't be bothered to offer working class men any reason to vote for her, nor did she offer an affirmative case for voting for her.
2
I can sleep peacefully knowing that I didn't vote for more genocide, can you?
1
@patricksullivan7140 Also, which candidate should we have voted to not throw people under the bus? I personally voted Stein, but the Harris camp shouldn't be so smug when they are supporting Israeli war crimes and can't be bothered to offer anything for Americans to look forward to had she been elected.
1
@darrin8955 I take it you voted 3rd party then, because those were the only decent choices for those that don't support racist policies.
1
@dma65a2 They said the same thing when I first got to vote for President in 2000, since then the candidates the Democrats put up have gotten worse and worse and worse. At this point, they put somebody up who refused to be against literal genocide.
1
@darrin8955 Yep, neither Trump nor Harris was that for me, so I voted 3rd party. Sadly, so many people think that the Democrats are entitled to our vote if we don't like what the GOP puts forward. Nobody is entitled to our vote and the sooner people wake up to that and make the candidates earn our vote, the sooner we can get our democracy back.
1
Perhaps the Democrats should have offered people a positive reason for voting for them rather than Trump. People noticed that the Democrats weren't that concerned about Trump winning in terms of strategy. They couldn't even be bothered to come out against Israel engaging in genocide using our money while people are struggling with paying their bills. Nobody that voted blue or red should be claiming the moral high ground here.
1
And yet, the vast majority of voters picked racist bigots as their preferred Presidential candidates when there were other options. The Harris supporters really shouldn't be too smug when she was part of an administration that was crucial to Israel's genocide in Gaza. They literally would not be able to to do it without the US' backing.
1
And yet, Harris and the Democrats didn't care. It's hard to claim the moral high ground when you're literally supply weapons for another country to use to engage in genocide.
1
And, had the Biden administration decided not to let Israel engage in genocide in the Middle East, there would have been a much stronger case for them being less bigoted than Trump. Harris couldn't even give any indication that she'd be in favor of stopping the crimes against humanity.
1
Not really, it can be as simple as Donald Trump being less pro-war than Harris. Say what you want about him, but we'd probably still be stuck in Afghanistan if Trump hadn't insisted on getting the country out of there, meanwhile, Biden keeps supplying the Israelis with weapons while ethnically cleansing Gaza and Harris refused to be against Israel's genocide.
1
OK, so what precisely is it about Harris that's decent? She's got the same view on Gaza as Biden, and literally the genocide there is only happening because the US is supplying the gear to do it.
1
Neither Harris nor Trump were running on that. But, considering how poorly the 3rd party candidates were doing, most voters are just full of it.
1
You shouldn't, this is absolutely terrible for Democracy. If people refuse to interact with people that voted differently, nothing will ever get better. And, it's not even like Harris had the moral high ground. She didn't earn the VP position, and refused to be against genocide the the middle east while completely refusing to offer an affirmative case as to why working class men should vote for her.
1
And anybody that voted Harris was voting for more genocide. Perhaps think things through a bit better? Neither side has a particular claim to the moral high ground here.
1
So, I take it you didn't vote for Harris or Trump then.
