That's what happens when neither party is interested in the votes of the majority of eligible voters that don't even bother to vote. There's enough non-voters out there that if they were a party, that party would crush just about every election.

@teresalapier9354 I saw that, I wonder if they're plan was to retroactively go back and modify the content to be less defamatory, and even more mocking of the sorts of knuckleheads that buy into that. Much of the infowars stuff was already hard to distinguish from something really being pushed on Fox.

@patrickmaline4258 Yep, the first lady has even fewer duties than the VP. Just because we've gotten sort of used to first ladies doing things, doesn't mean that they're obligated to. I think they mostly take on causes and the like as a way of filling up the time as there is staff to do more or less all the work without her needing to direct any of it.

@bavery6957 What gets me is that RFK JR could be quite good in some positions, HHS, the FDA and the like are just horrible. He'd probably be a good EPA secretary or possibly FTC.

Why shouldn't it? The ethics investigation has to do with things that are a problem for congress, the criminal charges that could be brought are independent of that. If the target of the problem resigns, there isn't much point in continuing as the only things that they could do would be potentially things like censure or expulsion from the house. None of which really remains relevant typically as it's definitely not normal for somebody under investigation to step down because they've been offered a job with the administration. I do expect that the report will be buried, but even if it is, it's existence would probably prevent him from getting a proper security clearance as any of those Democrats on the committee could just hand over the documents to the people doing the investigation for his clearance as they'd all have the appropriate clearance to look at things like that anyways.

@AncientActivist TBH, those weren't to my personal taste, but compared with the typical high fashion, it wasn't that bad.
