  1. I've got a water kettle. Actually, I've got two, my wife has one that she bought when the old one broke and didn't bother to tell me that she'd ordered one. I bought a nice one that allows me to set the temperature so that when I'm brewing tea, I don't have to mess with adding cold water to get the right temperature. It's worth noting that we've got 115v electricity which is slower than the ones in most of the rest of the world.

  2. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one that's figured this out. The sounds of a foreign accent when a speaker of a language you want to learn is speaking, are mostly the ones that are the least similar to the ones in your language. So, if you figure out how to speak with that foreign accent, and then apply it to the foreign language, you will sound far more like a native than if you skip the step. I wish it was something that more people knew because it does make the process a lot easier.
