  2. Because that's how the media portrays it. From what I understand, the people on both sides want a negotiated peace deal of some sort. It's the people in charge of the military that don't. At the government level, it's literally terrorists against war criminals.

  3. That will be made public eventually. I'm curious as to how this is involuntary manslaughter rather than an accident. This is why the public is generally allowed to observe court proceedings. EDIT: from what I can tell, it will depend on whether or not the professor was criminally negligent when causing the death. (Or if he caused the death at all would likely be another issue)
