@luckyjasonfan His antics go well past lovable rascal and into the outright criminal at times. At the time it came off as more of a boys will be boys sort of a thing, but really only because audiences of the time were kind of used to characters scheming and getting up to shenanigans trying to get ahead by that point. If you set that aside, he's a pretty terrible person. I'm sure that Mark-Paul is probably a really nice person in real life, because it's usually hard to act as despicable as Zach if you're also horrible if you want the audience to follow along.
