Indeed, and if they can make sodium work, it's a helpful use for the sodium that is a byproduct of desalination plants.

There's a lot of possibilities for that. Some of which can be built at home without much knowledge. The one that I found the most interesting was using glass tubes filled with water to grow algae that could then be converted into diesel. It's effectively carbon neutral and would work with the engines that we have today. Plus, it can sit for a period of a few weeks without much trouble.

Yes, and it's worth noting that not everything needs to worry about energy density in terms of mass. Stationary power storage like a desktop computer backup battery or storage for a photovoltaic system can be heavy and it's not much of an issue. It would still be helpful in terms of saving the rare metals for applications like planes and cars where weight does matter.

@ThomasBomb45 Beyond a point yes, but if it's too slow it can be a safety hazard as it can be hard to get on the freeway or out of the way if something is coming up behind you too quickly. But, it is heavily dependent upon how the vehicle is geared as well as the actual engine.
