ErfaanAdeeb Just shut up and hope it blows over. By filing this suit he increases the likelihood of a federal wire-fraud suit being brought against him. And, no, that's not as ridiculous as it might sound, that forged signature on merchandise that they were claiming to be Mr. Beast autographed as part of that giveaway could well cross the line on it's own, and that doesn't even take into consideration any of the rest of the shenanigans that may have occurred.

@fatshoeboxdoge I'm pretty sure that NDAs don't prevent disclosure of crimes, and some of the content in those videos is arguably criminal in nature. And, this was nearly entirely based on publicly available information.

He didn't just make the accusation, it appears that they did commit at least one felony on camera. IANAL, but Jimmy really ought to shut up and hope that there aren't any ambitious prosecutors that see it and decide to make a name for themselves as the one that caged Mr. Beast.

@Biplapgaming7 Yep, things said in responses aren't sworn testimony, so they carry very little weight. However, they can be used in court if it's convenient to the other party and admissible. It can also lead to other people with knowledge getting annoyed and coming forward.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable $1 "IT'S OVER" thumbnail versus $100,000 "IT'S OVER" thumbnail.

He's guilty of at least some of it, they posted a video of them forging Mr. Beast's signature for inclusion as a prize in a giveaway they were using to encourage people to buy expensive t-shirts.

"Your honor, my client would like to bring the court's attention to the possible gratuities after the verdict"

Directly responding is usually not a smart idea. However, suing with clips that involve conduct that's questionable at best is just asking for trouble. I'm guessing that he's assuming that since he's the biggest YouTuber right now and this is already going to make massive waves that the lawsuit won't make a meaningful increase, but we'll see.

It's typically better to ignore it. Posting a dispute is risky. It may not buy much in the court of public opinion, but it is potentially admissible in court.

They're right about the cleaning up the ocean. We have to keep the plastics from getting into the oceans and the best way to do that is to charge the companies that are producing the plastics for the privilege of using plastics. Some of that money going to remove the plastics is probably fine, but unless we can get more plastics out of the ocean than is going in, nothing has really changed. But, really if we can keep the plastics out of the ocean in the first place, the problem will eventually solve itself as it will degrade, the bacteria are already evolving to eat it and no more will be added.

We should have all known that he was suspicious just on the basis that he was giving away tons of money and didn't have any sort of explanation of where it came from. That's why I watched a couple of his videos and never subscribed before not even watching any. He'd give away a house, but there wasn't anything about the channel or Jimmy that explained how this wasn't some sort of scam.

@friedenstone9779 Given how much money Mr. Beast has, I would be shocked if there wasn't at least one law firm willing to take dogpack's case on contingency and file a slapp suit back at him. The channel was always super suspicious, but they haven't been particularly careful about what they've been posting publicly.

That kind of reminds me of shows like Red Dwarf and Fallout where the first episode is titled "The End."

@matthewdonohue7754 Don't be too sure, if even half of the allegations turn out to be provable in court, he could go bankrupt. Not to mention that there appear to be crimes committed in all of this on camera. So, we'll have to see what lawsuits are launched against him and if any criminal probes come of it. YT is probably going to fight pretty hard to protect him, I mean sssniperwolf was eventually punished by YT, but it took an awful lot and she wasn't anywhere near Mr. Beast in terms of subscribers and probably ad revenue.

@DoneRegularly That's generally the best course of action. Lawsuits are public records that often bring attention to the people involved and they move a lot slower than the internet does. By the time this actually hits a trial, assuming it's not settled, the internet will probably have forgotten about it, whatever damage will have been done and there's no way that this suit will result in Mr. Beast being compensated enough to cover for the losses. And that assumes that he even wins, which is not likely.

@joffles6516 TBH, what reputation? Even from the first videos I saw from that channel, it was highly suspicious as there was never any effort to explain where the money was coming from to pay for the stunts he was pulling.

@pedro6720 It probably is. He's the largest channel of all time on YouTube, this is a massive scandal, and part of how he got to be the biggest channel of all time is YouTube aggressively pushing him and a select number of super popular creators a the expense of smaller ones. That doesn't mean that I think YT is responsible for all of this, but they have skewed things in favor of creators and channels that people aren't super interested in while burying ones that might be a better fit.
