  1. It's Apple, anybody that's buying their stuff these days knows what they're getting into. This isn't like when Jobs went insane and started locking down everything and eliminating the features that could be used to use their products in an unapproved way.

  2.  @brayannexon4613  That's already kind of the case where one manufacturer might use a power adapter that doesn't properly register with a different brand. It's quite annoying.
