  1. I think the issue is that they need to get money from somewhere and it's unlikely that there will be enough people willing to pay a subscription to maintain it. Paid browsers have been a thing, but it's a difficult model when so many people aren't willing/able to pay for it. If they get this working properly, it should still be a significant improvement over the status quo.
