@OTOss8 Yes, since it's being paid to the library that's probably a nonprofit, I don't think it's possible to redirect that to pay off the other suits. And, the $1m goes to the attorneys. The whole result here is that a news channel is now disincentivized to accurately cover any future criminal activity. Most people, do not really understand he precise line between sexual assault and rape and in some jurisdictions, it's not an important legal distinction. If we were talking about something that didn't involve penetration, I think there'd be a more reasonable basis for giving Trump the win, but I don't see how it being rape rather than sexual assault is any better for his reputation.

That's an aspect to consider, was there any actual damage done here? As you say, he literally bragged about grabbing women by their genitals without asking on that Access Hollywood tape, I don't think anybody watching the exchange that led to the suit would have their opinions negatively impacted by the segment as they either believe Trump's own statements about his conduct towards women or they likely are so stuck in their views that nothing can change them.

@Foot751 It's because the Democrats are completely incompetent shills of more or less the same people as the GOP is. Had they let the voters choose the nominee in 2016, 2020 or 2024, he likely never would have been President. Even in 2020, he lost by a tighter margin than people realize. One of the big points of having primaries is that it helps the party to select a strong candidate with the best chances of winning and moving the party's agenda forward. Which is another issue, even when people do elect a Democrat to President, they fail to deliver any real help for the people. Obama was a particular fraud, he ran on the audacity of hope and governed on the mediocrity of what could be done without dirtying his image at all.
