@wmdkitty Scoff all you like, but it works a lot better than that over the counter pain medicine crap that does absolutely nothing.

@sunbro29 How often does that happen though in somebody who isn't terminally ill from something else? Also, as long as the person lived long enough to reproduce, evolution has nothing to do with it.

TBH, it largely is. Most of the actual suffering comes from resisting it. If you just acknowledge the pain and do something to address it, normally the pain goes away pretty quickly. You wouldn't want to completely opt out of pain anyways, as when that happens, amputations tend to be in your future. The big issue tends to be chronic pain, at that point, things are so out of control, that it doesn't seem to apply.
