Yes, although we're seeing the rate of increase slowing down and that is a necessary precursor to the population starting to drop. Large parts of the world are seeing birth rates below the replacement rate and China, which had been one of the biggest drivers of population growth, is struggling to get young people there to make use of the loosened restrictions on family size. It could definitely still go back to the way it was, but that would be rather unlikely given that an increasing portion of the population lives in areas with at least enough safety nets that having large families isn't effectively mandatory.
