Something that people should be very afraid of is that North Korea isn't in the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and Iran could very well decide that they will get nuclear material from North Korea. They have multiple ways to get things from North Korea with or without Russian support and Putin may well decide that it's permissible for the material to travel over their territory to get it as they have nukes and nobody in their right mind is going to invade them. The whole thing is an absolute powder keg and now is really the time to write all our political representatives to demand that this go no further. Write to any businesses that do business with Israel and demand that they pull out as well. Because if this goes on any longer, it's really hard to say what's actually going to happen. There had been talks of using tactical nukes, which thankfully doesn't appear to be the case, but who knows about next time or if the facility wasn't adequately destroyed.

The Iranian people don't want a regime change, they seem to want more modest reforms, but even my in-laws that had worked in arts and education under the Shah and had been talking about how they wished the US would engage in a regime change in order to reinstate the Shah have been incredibly quiet now that that's on the table. I have to imagine that if loyalists are shutting up about the prospects that people more opposed to a return of the Shah or anything equivalent are probably going to be even more opposed to it. We should have learned our lesson about regime changes in general following how the effort in Iran turned out. Trying to dictate the governance of a country with so much in terms of natural resources is extremely hard. Sure, a smaller country can possibly be made dependent on another state to the extent that they are inclined to go along with it, but Iran is massive and has resources to cover them for most of the typical stuff. Plus, they have a relatively short shipping route across the Caspian Sea to Russia and with that access to Chinese goods. Trying to cut them off from those trading partners is not an easy feat to accomplish.
