@oceanhome039 That doesn't count, the car was intentionally ignited by the driver lighting fireworks in the back for political reasons.

@ It's probably returning to something closer to what it's actually worth. The shares were artificially high due to the fanboys that were buying because of Musk, rather than what the company was actually doing and how it was performing.

@weilam03 The Chinese ones being sold outside of the PRC would probably be of higher quality, but mostly because the govenrment probably will use them to spy on people in other countries. I spent a couple years living over there and the quality of the stuff that's made in China there versus elsewhere is night and day.

To be fair, Teslas are dangerous pieces of garbage. This is just the last push for people that were willing to overlook that.

You don't want those cars driving around your roads and spying on your infrastructure. They are cheaper, but how much of that can possibly be saved by not needing to make a profit without it being the government subsidizing them to have an expanding network of mobile spy cameras?

@biosensei-s5e I wouldn't personally expect it to be more of a problem for Chinese cars than other ones. The big issue is spying. This permits the Chinese to potentially backdoor these and get lots of spy data about sensitive installations and how the roads are functioning for use advancing their interests.

@DRAGONFLYSIOUXSIE It's not, I don't want those mobile spy cars roaming the streets and shipping information back home about what people are talking about inside of them. If folks think Tictok is bad, this would be multiple orders of magnitude worse.
