@adamochs3106 It's kind of funny how these same folks that are opposed to government overreach are going to take it public. And what's more, this is because Disney is actually on the right side of history.

They've also been covering the costs associated with the district. Which means that any taxes they've been collecting have had to go somewhere, this is the same sort of thing I see locally where the rural areas are bleeding us dry wanting us to fund their operations, but not paying in either. If they were collecting taxes and making the counties pay, that would be very different.

@ryateo1 Nope, they get millions in taxes and millions in expenses to go along with them. I'm not sure why that's so hard to understand. They've been collecting the taxes and using them to cover the cost of operations for district services. If they go through with this to actual implementation, that means that now those counties are going to need to cover the cost of those services with the taxes being raised. They may well come out ahead, just not by anywhere near as much as folks are suggesting.

@jswaggart01 I doubt they would do that, but I do think that they'd probably reserve less R&D for the park than they had and it will probably fuel any expansion plans they have at other parks and for new parks entirely.

@ryateo1 You make it sound like Disney is the only company doing so. Much of Florida has already been ruined by developers independent of Disney. Disney itself is a relatively small part of the entire state.
