Maybe I can get an answer here. Leo, most videos I watch indicate that there are 0 comments when there are comments. Is this just me, or is everyone seeing this?

Let others do it for you. :-) In my many years in IT I came across so many people who thought they were dumb because they didn't understand every bit of their computer. Trying to get them out of that mindset was a chore.

I am questioning the "accidental" nature of these incessant breaches.

I love registry parties. :-)

Drives are huge these days. Shared software should be phased out and let them use their own version of libs like in the old days. This would break software rot.
4
I do it with a batch file.

I was surprised I had to buy the TPM for my ASUS MB separately.
3
I guess that explains why my i5 isn't either. :-)

I was born a skeptic. It has served me well.

This doesn't sound right. Appealing to the naive in the peanut gallery, who seem to love being told what to believe. Just look at the comments thanking Leo for confirming their naïveté!! Ah, well ... at least he doesn't have 1M subs.

These programs are not free. You must provide your email address to download and they will most likely sell it over and over unless you use a throwaway address.

Humanity's most frustrating answer: it depends. 🙂

It's behaviour modification through the monitor. :-)

Thank you for saying "number of". Every other YouTuber I can think of would likely have said "amount of". :-)

Get a hard drive dock; they're not expensive.. It will be useful for many situations so it's a good investment. You put either drive in it and copy the data to the other. A solution that requires a bit more work but is free: install your old drive in your new computer and do your copying that way. You don't say whether your data is on your C drive or on a second drive. If it's on a second drive you can, of course, just install the old drive in your new computer.

@askleonotenboom Ah, I see.

You have convinced me to get a domain name.
2
If it was that easy! :-)

You don't know any more that what he says is true than he does.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. More people should point this out.

OH YESSS!!! :-)

That's interesting. A few days ago I was searching on DDG but got nothing. So I went to Google and found what I was looking for on the first page.

Anytime any part of your existence leaves the peaceful confines of your home, you're no longer alone or safe.
1
@askleonotenboom :-)

Everything breaks eventually.

If you're not paranoid, you're being very naive!!

Isn't Fooled By Ads what made America the richest country in the world?

Maybe it simply didn't like what you were writing. CTRL-Z is the best Windows tool ever. :)
1
Would you happen to know what "Failed to initial Phone Control API" on Win10 means? Can't find anything on the net.
1
It's a great way to clean up your desktop. :-)

I've had more luck finding things through a search engine than directly on the e-commerce site far too often. Some huge sites have lame search engines that end up wasting your time.
1
No, they're getting more stupid because of the education system.

A simpler, less traumatic for some, option to reinstalling Windows is to make an image of a brand-new installation. Or you can use an image with your favourite software already installed. You simply reimage your system when you feel it's necessary. Some imaging software will even allow you to reinstall on a system with upgraded components.

Yes.

Last year I was looking for an email in my desktop Outlook. couldn't find it. Did a search on Google and emails from 2007 popped up. There should be laws about how long companies can keep your info. Of course those companies would have to respect the laws better than they do now.
1
@askleonotenboom Indeed.

Are we going to see Passwordless Managers? :)
1
Acronis.

As long as your next backup. :)

This appears to have become the most popular answer for pretty much everything: as (long) as possible. :-)

Your Rolling Stones album is gone.

This is off-topic but it's driving me nuts. When I transfer files from a flash drive and there is already a file with the same name on my system, if I choose compare files, Windows always shows 0 bytes for the file on the flash drive. Anyone know what that's about?

Would the ability to use backspace make it easier to use shorter passwords? 123 backspace xYz would result in the password 12xYz.
1
@widicamdotnet Easy to remember too!
1
This will be interesting, I've been considering trying their VPN.
