  2. Here's the problem with skin color: you didn't pick it yourself did you? You were born with it. Saying you're proud to be <color of your choice> is as logical as saying you're proud to be alive. You can't be proud to be something you had nothing to do with. You can be happy you are the color you are and you can be proud to be the type of person you are. Just like you can't be proud to be from a particular country. You didn't get to tell your mom to move to Spain because you would be proud to be Spanish. I know this will be a bit much for many people. :)
