  1. ​ @redredlulu1 me as a European immigrant to the United States and now naturalized citizen thereof, can absolutely disagree with this ethnic argument. I am just as American as anyone born here of any ETHNICITY, be they WASPS, Asians Africans et al. My European heritage, born to European parents in Africa is of course my heritage but I am no longer European. I am a citizen of my African country but of course I am not of that ethnicity, but I do label myself as "xxxx- an". I understand England is not the US ( or should it be) with its own national ethnic history but your example is not as objective, black and white and absolute as you make it.
