  1. It's almost like you never read any of the rulings. The judge in the Maine court case said she wasn't unilaterally able to make the decision that's why she passed it on to her State's Supreme Court. But if you go and you look up the discussions around the drafting of the 14th Amendment you would realize that it was designed specifically to empower states to remove individuals who don't meet the requirements to hold office off of their ballots.
