  10. Well the car wasn't stolen, she was simply driving it without their permission. So I imagine the charges changed once the owner realized it was someone that they know. Also she 100% paid restitution, they just didn't mention it.

Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (which isn't theft) isn't what she was charged with, grand theft auto, or theft of a motor vehicle also wasn't something she was charged with is theft.
