  5.  @scotmark  Russia is using war in ITS sphere of influence because politics have failed on ITS border. America wages war all over the world yet has no threats on its border. Nato was not to expand past a unified German border but sits at russias door, imagine if Russia were at the Canadian border. What would America be doing? Think about it and you won’t have to take a pill.

So you make a deal to facilitate a peaceful collapse of the Soviet Union and then it’s okay to renege because you are the Victor? Just try for once to have a perspective other than the one spoonfed to you,different nations see the world differently. How many times has Russia been invade compared to the United States just in the 20th century. I’m not saying it’s right or it’s wrong but it’s far more in russias interests than the Iraqi war was for America. In russias eyes it means it’s very existence.

What about the Minsk agreements that Boris Johnston blocked before the invasion and Angela Merkel admitted was used to buy time to train and strengthen Ukraine? A simple vote to establish autonomy for the disputed regions that was never allowed to take place? Do you realize that after the maiden revolution ( heavily influenced by the west) that the Russian language was banned in Ukraine,that all government transfers were stopped to the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts including government employees and pensions? That the Ukrainian army was then sent in to crush protests resulting in at least one case of protestors being trapped in a government building which was torched resulting in multiple deaths. The Russian Orthodox Church has been made illegal,all opposition media has been shut down and journalists jailed,opposition parties outlawed and members jailed,Ukraine continually ranks as one of the most corrupt nations on earth. Is this the democracy YOU wish to support? The comparison of illegals flooding America to nations pointing missiles at your capital is laughable and requires no further response. As for comparing Russian atrocities to America’s,just in americas declared wars the deaths and maimed are in the 10’s if not 100’s of millions since the end of the Second World War. I think Russia’s pale in comparison. We have been fed a steady diet of propaganda where we are the good guys and every adversary is evil but on the chessboard of geopolitics it’s clear to me it’s still about world domination and the west wants the only piece left in world domination theory THE HEARTLAND. America controls the oceans (naval theory)America controls the coasts with its bases (rim theory) but Russia controls the heartland and with it 50% of the worlds resources. This is russias biggest weapon unfortunately this also fits in well with the west’s sustainable development goals. This is why I think this is unlikely to end anytime soon. Russia believes it’s in a fight for its very existence and the west can use shortages to shape policy to implement their NEW GREEN DEAL. While we see things differently I appreciate the conversation and welcome further feedback. I’m pro American by the way,that doesn’t mean I’m oblivious to the tactics used to achieve their ends.
