IF Bakhmut has fallen, it's more likely that Ukrainian forces are abandoning it, tossing grenades back over their shoulders. They've tied up Wagner & Russian forces there all these mos., the expected Ukrainian offensive start date has been jockeyed around, until Ukraine is about to get what it's been needing since this war began - F-16 fighter jets. Now, if Russia/Wagner are in the town, they're EASY targets, & Ukrainian troops are getting out of the way. This whole "Battle of Bakhmut" had been one long pinning operation by Ukraine on Russia/Wagner, & it's worked. Thousands of Russian forces are all around Bakhmut, sitting ducks for F-16's. And RUSSIA/WAGNER thought they trashed the place! They ain't seen NOTHIN' yet! SLAVA UKRAINI!

@dennisbrock1435 Um, Russia & Ukraine are BOTH currently using TONS of "old junk". F-16's AIN'T "old junk". Russia's putting their most up-to-date fixed-wing aircraft up, when it can find pilots with enough air time to be proficient at flying them, with minimal impact. The majority of Russian cruise missiles come from inside Russian territory, or from Russian naval vessels in the Black Sea. Most of the Russian air power used in Ukrainian skies are attack helicopters. Russia should be glad the USA has not agreed to send Ukraine Stealth fighter jets & bombers, or its F-35 fighter jets, 60 of which it's selling to Finland.
