  1. This abhorrent conflict has got to stop. It's tearing Ukraine apart, & if it drags out for months, or even years, it's going to year Russia apart, as well. It's already causing serious repercussions globally, with civil unrest, violent protests, & established governments being challenged due to food & energy crises - & we're not even 2 months in. In 6 months' time, a large percentage of the populations of developing nations will be facing starvation. Hunger is a VERY strong motivator, & as populations seek to feed themselves & their families, the risk of global social, political, & economic instability increases exponentially. Russia & Ukraine do not exist in a vacuum. This war is taking place right in the middle of 1 of the world's largest breadbaskets. Its inability to produce & ship its products for the foreseeable future is a condition that must be corrected - & quickly. One nation's unprovoked aggressive invasion of its neighboring nation is threatening the survival of ALL humanity, especially coupled with the dire & immediate effects of climate change, which is causing serious consequences for EVERY nation on earth. This war is EVERYONE'S war, because it's AFFECTING everyone. We ALL must do everything in our power to end it NOW. Tomorrow, next month, next YEAR - it's just going to be TOO LATE. Random observation - if all the tears the Ukrainians have shed, just since 2/24/22, could somehow be collected, how many olympic-sized swimming pools would they fill?
