  12.  @moaski  Why not deal with the mass shooting epidemic? So far this year, the United States has had over 200 mass shooting events. Just because you can't solve all the problems doesn't mean that you shouldn't solve any.

  13. Ted Cruz is an embarrassment to Canada (he was born in Calgary) and wrong about everything else except this. He just didn't explain it very well. While guns are definitely the problem, allowing unfettered access to schools is also a problem. All the schools in the district in Canada I work in have a locked door policy. There is a camera and doorbell at the front door. When someone wants to enter a school, they ring the doorbell. The office staff assess the visitor and grant entrance as appropriate. Students and staff are able to exit the building through multiple exit doors. The exit only doors are built with panic bars. While we don't have the same issue with school shootings, it is a common sense security measure.
