@Barry_dingle69 Are these the same masks that doctors, surgeons, nurses, and dentists wear? If yes, you should definitely warn them before it's too late.

@498278 If I have to choose between health advice from Sheri Tenpenny, who claimed that Covid-19 vaccines would magnetize you and Health Canada, I pick Health Canada. How gullible would you have to be to believe this? Sheri Tenpenny, a Cleveland-based doctor was invited as an expert witness to a hearing in the Ohio House. She had a warning for legislators about coronavirus vaccines. The anti-vaccination advocate known for spreading unfounded claims falsely told legislators that the drugs could leave people “magnetized. No one who got vaccinated is stuck to their refrigerator.

"The most reliable test is the reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), which Catton calls the “gold standard detection method” for the coronavirus. Many companies and most public labs use RT-PCR. The tests have a 96% accuracy rate for negative samples and a 100% accuracy rate for positive samples, according to researchers at the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, a global health nonprofit." Canada's pandemic response, including following health measures as well as getting vaccinated, was successful based on the only measure that counts: deaths. US deaths from COVID-19: over 1.1 million. Canadian deaths from COVID-19: over 52,000.

Health measures are a provincial responsibility.

Viruses were here before humans and will be here long after we are gone.

Sounds good. Section 2(c) guarantees the right to peaceful assembly; it does not protect riots and gatherings that seriously disturb the peace: R. v. Lecompte, [2000] J.Q. No. 2452 (Que. C.A.). It has been stated that the right to freedom of assembly, along with freedom of expression, does not include the right to physically impede or blockade.
1
Why would we do that?
1
I don't think that the virus got the memo.

Donald Trump speaks what's on his mind, often as soon as it appears there. After winning his third-straight contest in Nevada Tuesday, Trump credited his "poorly educated" supporters, in part, for the win. "We won the evangelicals. We won with young. We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated," he said during his victory speech.
1
That's not true.
1
What exactly is the propaganda and how do you know that?

@farleywilliams4840 The news reports the events. It's up to you to use your judgment to make assessments and decide on a course of action.

We scored the top spot in "Quality of Life" and "Social Purpose," too. It looks like our country gained some serious bragging rights this year according to the 2021 "Best Countries in the World" U.S. News report, where Canada ranked number one overall.

Danielle is now busy editing her poorly written Sovereignty Act. Apparently, she realized that giving herself unlimited powers to rewrite laws without seeking approval from the legislature was a bad look. If you are keeping score, this is u-turn #2 for Smith as she changed her mind about adding the unvaccinated to the Human Rights Act.

More so than you. You must be waiting for Dr. Kyrie Irving and Dr. Aaron Rodgers to weigh in.

"The vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind,” Trump said. “I came up with a vaccine — with three vaccines — all are very, very good … in less than nine months. It was supposed to take five to 12 years.” “And if you take the vaccine, you’re protected," Trump went on. "The results of the vaccine are very good. And if you do get it, it’s a very minor form. People aren’t dying when they take their vaccine. The vaccine worked, but some people aren’t taking it,” he said. “The ones that get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones who don’t take their vaccine.”

@Jeff Johnson That is not much of a defense of whatever nonsense you believe.
1
@Jeff Johnson I don't think that you would recognize a fact if you tripped over it.

No sane person believes unverified anecdotes.

The carbon tax is meant to reward those who use less energy. For example, the mass transit user pays less carbon tax and the guy who drives a big truck pays more. Both get the same rebate. That seems both fair and reasonable.

The health measures are a provincial responsibility. Ask your premier.

Your mom should take your computer away.

@Hazara26 If you are a newcomer to Canada, you should definitely appreciate that Canada is the best country in the world. We owe universal health care and the Canada Pension Plan to the liberal and NDP governments.
1
@Hazara26 Canada is not perfect. However, ask someone in Haiti if they would trade places with you.
1
@Hazara26 Currently, annual immigration in Canada amounts to around 300,000 new immigrants – one of the highest rates per population of any country in the world. As of 2021, there were more than eight million immigrants with permanent residence living in Canada - roughly 21.5 percent of the total Canadian population.

You are obviously waiting for Dr. Kyrie Irving and Dr. Aaron Rodgers to finish their research.

"It goes through the air," Mr Trump told the author on 7 February. "That's always tougher than the touch. You don't have to touch things. Right? But the air, you just breathe the air and that's how it's passed. "And so that's a very tricky one. That's a very delicate one. It's also more deadly than even your strenuous flus." From BBC News

Let's review the rules for having a protest and avoiding jail followed by a televised national inquiry. "We have a constitutional right to engage in peaceful protest and dissent. Some city or town governments require a permit before holding a protest on public property like a park or town square. It is one of the fundamental freedoms protected in the Charter. The section protects a person's right to gather with others and express ideas. The wording of section 2(c) qualifies the freedom, guaranteeing only peaceful assembly. It indicates that breaches of the peace, such as riots, receive no protection." NP

In both Canada and the United States, net fiscal transfers across jurisdictions are largely the result of differences in economic strength and demographics, not unequal treatment by the federal government. GST and other taxes on products account for a fiscal gap of $252 per person. Albertans pay the same 5% GST on goods and services as any other Canadian. But Albertans on average, purchase more stuff, so they pay more in GST. Income taxes paid are similarly higher from Albertans, but not because they face different income tax rates. High incomes naturally lead to higher income tax bills. For the first time in more than 50 years, Alberta received more money from Ottawa than it sent. Alberta received roughly $68.5 billion in federal spending in 2020, almost double what it received in 2019.

Canada's response to the pandemic (following health measures and getting vaccinated) has been quite successful based on the only measure that counts: deaths. US deaths from COVID-19: over one million. Canadian deaths from COVID-19: over 40,000. If deaths from COVID-19 was an Olympic sport, the United States would get the gold medal. To date, 83% of Canadians are fully vaccinated compared to 68% of Americans.

Apparently, she realized that giving herself unlimited powers to rewrite laws without seeking approval from the legislature was a bad look. If you are keeping score, this is u-turn #2 for Smith as she changed her mind about adding the unvaccinated to the Human Rights Act. Uturn #3. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith softens stand on proposed sovereignty act, says she would respect Supreme Court decisions. New Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she will abide by decisions from the Supreme Court of Canada in rulings involving her proposed sovereignty act – a contrast to her pledge during the United Conservative Party leadership campaign that the legislation would give the province the power to disregard federal laws and legal decisions. Smith announces absurdly large cabinet that keeps friends close, some enemies closer, and includes few women.

The anti-vaccination advocate known for spreading unfounded claims falsely told legislators that the drugs could leave people “magnetized.

@ThePhilosophicalOne Even in a country that prioritizes individual freedom as much as the U.S. does, citizens do not have the right to harm their colleagues or their colleagues’ families, friends and communities. One person’s right to a healthy life is greater than another person’s right to a specific job. On Earth One, no one is allowed to spread a communicable disease at will. Society makes rules for all sorts of behaviors. You are seldom free to run around doing whatever you like. Things that are not governed by laws are limited by social norms. It's not illegal to cut into a lineup in the grocery store but it's not polite. We have laws that require us to wear seatbelts because apparently we can't be trusted to make that decision on our own.

"And so that's a very tricky one. That's a very delicate one. It's also more deadly than even your strenuous flus." "Former President Donald Trump on Monday encouraged his supporters to get vaccinated but said he did not understand why Republicans were more skeptical of the shot—even as he again floated a conspiracy theory about Pfizer. Trump—who previously expressed skepticism about vaccines in general—said he doesn’t understand why Republicans are hesitant to get inoculated, saying “I don’t know what that is exactly.” “I encourage people to take it, I do,” Trump said of Covid-19 vaccines, adding that he was immunized. Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump received the vaccine in January behind closed doors, unlike Joe Biden and other former presidents." BBC

"Chuck Grassley, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said: "The American people can now read this document for themselves." The unclassified memo is a June 2020 internal FBI report outlining claims by a foreign informant. There is no evidence that Joe Biden received any payments from Ukraine. The FBI officials have described FD-1023 forms as a means to document "raw, unverified" intelligence information that does not reflect the conclusions of investigators. "Recording this information does not validate it, establish its credibility, or weigh it against other information known or developed by the FBI in our investigations," the agency said in a recent statement. Even Senator Ron Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican who with Mr Grassley wrote a Senate report on Hunter Biden, has sounded sceptical about the memo. According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, he told a conservative radio show host Vicki McKenna last month: "This could be coming from a very corrupt oligarch who could be making this stuff up." BBC
