Ryan Couture you're an idiot. he didn't point any gun. look at the video, his arms are crossed to the left and right, from the opposite appendages, respectively. you see those black blobs? those are his jacket's arms...they are not pointing at the cop until they are being flung into the air from him being blasted by the cops. (you're an idiot, though, remember that before you scour the video from evidence to disprove me)

they may find it regressive. afterall those police were just doing their job and protecting the public...by rolling along side of a supposed gunmen, without taking any procedural tact, calling for backup, and even arriving on scene to try and control the situation, by parking their vehicles in the area...and instead rolling up, through a park lawn, towards the supposed gunman, with no tact, and just jumping out and charge him...i wonder if the gunman actually would have been a gunman, would their tactics be safety oriented? nah, probably not. but still...regressive. (no offence to Sargon or TLDR, they're almost always perfectly reasonable individuals, and i'm kinda just speculating here.)

yeah, BLM has problems...it's not the name, however. the name is patently innocuous. Black Lives Matter, White Lives Matter -- same difference. it's just a matter of perspective.

nora ekard i don't think so, not necessarily. he's told conservatives, plainly, that he thinks most of them are morons. (fair argument. the smart ones don't often get much media attention, at all, not even in right-wing media -- see: Roger Scruton) but he is sort of gotten reactionary, a bit...probably from the overload of responses. i know when i try and drive something home (a point) for too long, i start getting muddled.
