To me it seems that the man in actuality is more of a bank, than a commodity, and the woman, in actuality, are treated as a sort of virtual commodification of the sex market, a currency, in itself, transacted thru this bank. Or to put it more succinctly, "these banks". Yes, the bank is using a virtual currency. There is nothing backing this currency but reification and valorization.
