There is no foisting of ideology, or "thing" that people are being forced to do. People just love talking so much about the "symbolic" world they live, anything that sets it in flux [that is, externally to the "group-setting"], that "interrupts" the flow, as it were, of blah blah blah'ing about problems [a comment attribute of humanity], they get upset and try to fill in any holes they see with the dirt they have laying around [usually, that is to say: sometimes people put their thinking-caps on and start off on a rational footing: not all, though].
