@Joe-wq4mo Isn't it mostly, though? I mean, "misleading"? I guess, what I'm trying to say is, that Obama might have been being 'jocular'. As in to say, he was highlighting that he was more in tune with his hormones than with the literature he would read at the time...sort of insinuating that people should focus more on the literature: maybe: I would need to see the rest of the paragraph, and/or the section or chapter that that quote was from.

@Joe-wq4mo PS: It's actually kind of funny to think, thru all his bluster, he's kind of insinuating that he's still a prospective ladies' man,...where Obama's head is at is surely questionable, to say the least.

@Joe-wq4mo It is ridiculous, but I don't think it is so because of the reason that it's "deceitful". Maybe Obamer is a bit deceitful, and people who go to such lengths to get laid, at all, are in the same boat; if we can call that deceitful....Either way, people will get laid however: they will "slay" by doing whatever. How or why is basically irrelevant.

@Joe-wq4mo My only contention with the notion is that it might be only an excursis on how he might have been before actually understanding why he was learning to improve his faculties to begin with. Only because it's very early in someones' upbringing usually where they'll begin to integrate into a socially and even politically conscious person, even while in the process of developing a mind for the prospects of self-development. That might be what his story is about, thus, I reckon that might be, at face-value, the case in this instance.

Everyone gets into this like that Maybe when you're forced into an academic environment, at a young age, in order to play in the race and even to survive...sure. But that's just going to happen anyway. People should read about repressive desublimation.

Is this as pathetic as I think Yeah. But people are forced to take action, the type of actions people aren't nearly prepared to take on fully, in their responsibility, early in life, even in the sense that they want to learn about the world, as it is [as opposed to merely take in the basics, the media, maybe...et al...].
