An unarmed yota would last about 10 minutes against the US Army / USMC. Maybe.
2
This will run circles around a LMTV, with a whole lotta armor.
1
Unless one wants to stay alive, which is sorta important.
1
This vehicle will keep the crew alive. And Oshkosh is selling them for LESS than they could...its not ALL about profit for them.
1
Gee...thats too bad. 48% pay ZERO federal income taxes...are you among the 52% that do pay?
1
JLTV was only fielded starting in JAN 2019...or do ya mean MATV or HMMWV?
1
JLTV can move cross country in sand / soft soil where MATV woulda been stuck. That, along w/ MRAP level protection, ready to mount nearly ANY comms / electrical system, 10Kw onboard & 10Kw exportable power, set JLTV apart from MATV.
1
Actually, will run CIRCLES around ANY HMMWV, on road or off. Easily.
1
@chocolat-kun8689 Yes. It has AC.
1
Nope.
1
It will keep troops alive AND keep on ticking.
1
@dwaneanderson8039 Except going off-road where HMMWVs would never dream of going, put out 10Kw onboard & exportable power, NET-Ready, 11,000 pound towed load, etc.
1
4,000 HMMWVs...that were considered OBSOLETE for US forces.
1
...and the HMMWV will have its crew blown into about 1,500 little pieces. Little bloody pieces that ya gotta pick up with tweezers.
1
Especially when the last use of chemical weapons was during WW ONE...over 100 years ago.
1
JLTV was fielded in 2019 & were NOT left in Kabul.
1
@007supertime Gee, the Army & USMC shoulda had YOU in charge of this program. Not.
1
Someone in the USMC must like them, because almost ALL of the HMMWVs in the USMC are being replaced with JLTV...about 15,000 of them. Question: How many maintenance issues are a result of Crew OR mechanic errors? Many new systems go thru that learning cycle. Good luck.
1
Is being used NOW. Ya can see them on many many US bases.
1
No they didn't. The US Army could have KILLED every living thing in that "country." But they were told NOT to.
1
The US didn't lose. It quit, because the Afghans were led by crooks, & the majority of their "soldiers" refused to fight. If the US Army had WANTED to, it could have killed every person in the trash-heap of a country.
