  2. One reason would be (according to one of the 'a Pilot speaks' type videos knocking around on You Tube somewhere - Think its in the series done by that Geordie bloke) ...... If you made the correct but complex series of control movements the thing would do a complete backflip - Which was potentially incredibly a useful last resort move if you had an enemy fairly close behind - Joggle, joggle, pull-push & suddenly you're on his tail. However The 'super' name was more a marketing thing. And the same ability to backflip (a serendipitous discovery during a training dogfight) at height was realised to be associated with several 'mystery' crashes the type had suffered previously.
