Russia is truly desperate if he thinks that Ukraine is going to surrender or give up and I do not see an empire emerging for all I see is a third world country named Russia that is slowly dying out just like the USSR did and I'm pretty sure Putin has nightmares of that event every single day for Russia is indeed dying.

  4.  @manolios  Yes and that darker purpose comes from a mad dictator who fancies himself a Tsar wants to bring back the USSR and also seek to embolden the other dictatorships like North Korea, Iran, China etc etc to invade much smaller countries for in the end the purpose is WW3 and I do not know about ya, but I do not want that to come to pass for it will make WW2 look like a weekly walk by comparison.
