Although the US 14" had rather pedestrian rate of fire and bursting charge I'd like to point out that they had mostly 12 and some 10 gun arrangements. Many of their competitors are rocking 6-8. 12 to a salvo definitely makes up for some rate and bursting charge if comparing to a 6 or 8 gun ship.

If you get an itch to do guns used in shore batteries as well because they could be used in comparisons of both older ships and paper ships the Germans still had WWI 12" shore batteries with updated MKs of shells and extreme elevation The Germans had h 39 16"/52 guns in shore batteries The British had old 13.5"/45 in shore batteries And maybe some others I'm not thinking of off the top of my head most of them where ones still used on battleships like French had a bunch of Bretagne gun ones and US had it's same old standard class 14" on most of it's batteries British also had some venerable 15"/42 batteries.

The NY class had a different mk of 14" shell than the NV/PA classes because of it's shell handling system, I didn't see that in the comparison. Also you didn't include the 11"/45 from the German Predreads

Well your 2 sets you tossed may be representative of different opponents whereas your keept represents typical opponents. The one where rate of training and elevation was included may be representative of their performance against an opponent with no meaningful protection like a Deutschland, Kongo, Renown, Dunkerque, Alaska etc where anything remotely battleship grade can penetrate thier 9" or less of armour without having to close to a point blank range or anything. If you have a belt no thicker than Queen Mary you are vulnerable to any gun on either list. The second one where you didn't include range maybe representative of the super duper armoured stuff like Yamato, Vanguard, KGV, Nelson where anything that isn't a Yamato or Iowa is going to have to close the range and get close. Your final one with range included but not elevation or training is probably right for most stuff with 12-13" belts
