When EV fanbois say that people complaining about range is ridiculous because you don't drive further than the battery range to work they are obviously missing that sometimes you may need to do something besides commute to work. If you live in a mid tier couple of hundred thousand people city where you are probably going to have to drive to your region's big couple of million city to see most concerts or sports events or catch most airline flights you are suddenly talking about needing to drive several hundred miles each way. Let's say the big city is 300 miles away each way that means you need a 600 miles range, and most don't meet the advertised range so like a 750 mile manufacturer range to get 600 sounds more like it. Your 300 manufacturer advertised and probably more like 200 actual miles cars just don't cut it.
