  1. They did it on lab monkeys already in the 70s. The monkey whose head was transplanted regained consciousness. If course it was quadriplegic but it survived the procedure and regained consciousness. So if they ever perfect reattaching spines not only will paralyzed people be non paralyzed but head transplant onto a new body will be possible to.
